Ways to Give
Hagar's Heart is committed to raising funds and supporting women in crisis.
Here are the ways you can help.

Become a Monthly Donor!
The goal of Hagar's Heart is to become the GO-TO nonprofit in the DFW Metroplex, for shelters serving women in crisis.
The impact of your monthly giving will provide women with tools to know they can take care of themselves, they are worthy of a new beginning, and the love of self is the most important love of all.
Monthly support allows us to continue taking care of the partner shelters we serve, while adding more.

Volunteer to Pack "I See You" boxes
The I SEE YOU Box is delivered monthly to our domestic violence shelter partners. It is a box given to a woman when she first arrives. The I SEE YOU Box is packed with specifically chosen self-care items to bring a message of: You are seen, worthy, loved, and deserve a new beginning. The Hagar's Heart letter placed in the I See You Box is an inspirational and encouraging letter written to the woman from someone who cares.

Carry the Joy 2022
We all thrive when we come together for good. That’s why we’d like you to join us – Hagar’s Heart – as we work to make lives better for families impacted by domestic violence.
Hagar’s Heart was founded to support women in crisis and to inspire them to rediscover how they are seen, valued, and loved. Domestic violence affects 1 out of 3 women and 1 out of 9 men in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Carry the Joy is our annual fundraiser that allows us to raise money for self-care, mental health wellness opportunities, and tools for the women we serve. These efforts culminate in a way that helps them to build the skills that will let them know they are seen, valued, and loved. The National Domestic Violence Hotline states it best:
Self-care is a simple concept, yet for many of us, it can be incredibly difficult in practice. It is especially challenging for victims and survivors of abuse, who are often made to feel like they are not worthy of love or care.

North Texas Giving Day 2022
We are ready for 2022's North Texas Giving Day! Last year we exceeded our goal of $5,000, were selected for the 7pm-midnight voting prize money, and were chosen as the first ever recipient of the Sociability, "Live Generously, Love Joyfully" Prize.
Our grand total was $10,980.
This year, we cannot wait to share with you all the programs we will unveil in 2022, as well as set goals to reach more women in crisis, fleeing to local domestic violence shelters.

Hagar's Heart Pop Up Shop
The Hagar's Heart Pop Up Shop is an opportunity to provide a shopping experience for the women in our local partner domestic violence shelters.
With the help of local boutiques, shelter women are able to shop for brand new clothes, still with tags attached, and treated to a real shopping experience with volunteers to help.
Our volunteers pick out clothes, guide the women to the items they want, and wrap up as a gift in the end.
It is a heart warming experience for all involved, as HH provides for these women who may have left with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Santa's Shack 2022
Santa's Shack was created for children and case workers to shop for the women in our partner emergency domestic violence shelters. This is also a time we celebrate the season with cookie decorating, crafts, and wrapping presents in shelter.
